My name is Elaine Springer and I am 77 years old.

I am a mother of three grown adults, two boys and one girl and two granddaughters. My profession was a Nurse, from which I retired at 60 but went on to pursue other jobs like working in a nursery cooking for babies and toddlers, which they appreciated very much. I also like baking and cake decorating. After my time in the nursery, I pursued another profession working in the care of people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. I loved it so much I retired there at the age of 75 and continued as a voluntary worker once a week for a year. I currently visit an 88 year old woman twice a week to keep her company and bring her meals which makes me feel very good within myself.
