My name is Shirley. I am young at heart, a lady of quality who likes to dress well. I am in my 60s and come from a family of nine siblings. I am blessed with three amazing children, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild. I live a full social life. I enjoy going to the gym, taking Salsa classes, baking and travelling. Every morning I post motivational quotes. This helps me to inspire others.

I have been working for the NHS for over 25 years and specialise in Mental Health, working as a staff nurse. Alongside my profession, I do voluntary work within the community. In May 2023, I went on a vacation to the Gambia with friends and we were privileged to visit a school. I was overwhelmed by the poverty over there, so we decided to be proactive and now we have set up a fund-raising page where people in the community can donate to this charity. What we plan to do with the funding is to help support the school by sending resources.

My daughter entered me into this beauty pageant which I thought I could never do. However, since I have entered this beauty pageant, my confidence and self-esteem have grown and I am living proof that you can do anything in life if you put your mind to it.
